I finally get a chance to pursue what I love. I am inspired by the abundance of nature around me, especially the tiny minutia of a leaf vein, the dance of petals, the gills under a mushroom cap, or a dormant insect’s transformation miracle. What lovely quirky little worlds.
I have come to see all art as learning to see afresh. To be sure there are changing properties and characteristics of the different mediums and tools that the artist has to work with to gain skills, experience, and confidence.
I find myself nurtured by my artistic inquiries as I continue to explore the astonishing gift of life.
